Dr. Pasricha is the Chair of the Department of Apparel, Merchandising, and Design at St. Catherine University, St. Paul, MN - For nearly a decade, Pasricha has been exploring strategies for sustainable fashion, design and ethical industry practices. As of late, she has a strong commitment to emphasizing the consumer’s power of choice to consume less and use more by looking for quality products that have longevity, to give businesses a decent price/profit to promote a sustainable system, and to deliberately not ask for cheap products that cause harm to people and the resources that are involved in the process of their production. She also researches ways for fair trade companies to strengthen their messaging, advertising, and marketing through the fair trade principles, including information on emerging best practices.
