Fiber Assistance Grant Program
Three Rivers Fibershedβs (TRF) Fiber Assistance Grant Program provides opportunity for individuals to access local fiber and natural dye products.
We acknowledge that locally produced materials are often higher in cost and that this can be a barrier to individuals who are interested in working with these natural fibers and dyes. As an organization, we support local shepherds and natural dyers and the skill, time, and resources that go into producing local products in a way that is good for the land, good for animals, and good for our communities.
Fiber Assistance Grants are available in the amount of $25 or $50 and are available to support individuals who are interested in working with local fiber and natural dye products, and connect them with TRF Stewards who have these products available locally. Applicants must be a resident of a state included in TRFβs strategic geography (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Dakota).
To apply, you will need to know the following information:
Requested amount ($25 or $50)
Which TRF Steward you will use the funds to purchase from (Limited to the list of participating stewards. See below.)
After review of the application, recipients will be notified via email and given a one-time use code, valid for 3 months with the chosen participating Steward. Recipients will purchase items directly from the Steward, letting the Steward know that you have a Fiber Assistance Grant code to utilize for the purchase.
Note: Some participating Stewards have online shops. In order to use a Fiber Assistance Grant code for an online purchase, recipients will need to coordinate with the Steward to utilize the code.
