Join us for an evening learning about The Good Acre’s farm share and solar dying with food scraps!
Three Rivers Fibershed will help attendees explore solar dyeing, a process that uses the heat of the sun and local plants to create botanically colored textiles. Participants will learn about the dye process, food-based dyes, and how to start their own solar vat in a glass ball jar with a mini-skein of wool that can be used for mending!
Dyeing materials (food waste for dyes, pre-mordanted mini skein, mending postcard) are included, but please bring your own ball glass jar with lid!
